Please join us for an amazing weekend totally dedicated to taking your dance up a notch...or two! Every belly dancer is unique and our D.I.V.A. weekend helps you discover your personal strengths and specific areas for improvement. Using that foundation, we will help you build a DIVA Dance Plan to address your individual path to better performance this year! Our fabulous hostess for the weekend is Katrina of Saffron Dance. REGISTRATION: Register using the Virginia Beach Shimmy Workshop Registration Form  and THEN make your payment using the options below. Your registration is not valid until you have completed BOTH steps :-). After your registration and payment are received, you will receive a confirmation email.

Friday, April 27th - HAFLA!

WHERE: Lynnhaven Colony Congregational Church, 2217 W Great Neck Rd,  Virginia Beach, VA 23451

Schedule:

6:00 - 6:30 D.I.V.A Registration

6:30 - 7:00 Doors open for D.I.V.A. Hafla audience

7:00 - 9:30 Hafla! - All D.I.V.A. participants will perform as soloists in order to receive their baseline evaluation. The evaulation will be used to build your 2012 DIVA DANCE PLAN. The Hafla will be professionally videotaped by RGB Imaging and each participant will receive a DVD. For audience tickets, see below. For Hafla program, go here.

Saturday, April 28th - Evaluations

WHERE: Virginia Beach Shimmy (address and directions provided upon registration)

Schedule:

12:00 - 3:00 Group Review of Halfa with performance tips by Katrina

3:00 - 8:00 Individual Reviews (15 - 20 minutes). Slots assigned after registration. Please make sure to bring a notepad and pen!

Sunday, April 29th - See it, plan it, do it

WHERE: Virginia Beach Shimmy (address and directions provided upon registration)

Schedule:

1:00 - 4:00 Facilitated workshop to develop SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic, and Time-bound) Goals for your 2012 DIVA Dance Plan. Clearly articulate your goals and your path to attainment. Build accountability into you dance plan to best position yourself to succeed in your unique quest to improve your performances.

The fine print:

No photos or videotaping of any kind allowed during workshop or show without prior permission of the artist(s). We will have a professional videographer (RGB Imaging) at the event. Each participant will receive a DVD.

Observers pay the same fees as registered participants.
No children unless registered as participants.
No refunds unless event is cancelled.
